Curriculum Overview

The curriculum comprises six modules:

  • Real Estate Law: Fundamental knowledge of real estate concepts, market dynamics, land law, contract law, agency law, planning and development control, and landlord-tenant law.
  • Real Estate Regulations and Practice: Ethics, laws, regulations, and best practices in estate agency work.
  • Estate Agency Services: Handling the sale and lease of residential, commercial, and industrial properties, including title searches, immigration checks, and financial calculations.
  • Non-Residential Property Leasing: Competency in leasing non-residential properties, understanding regulatory requirements, and drafting lease agreements.
  • Real Estate Investment: Principles of real estate investment, acquisition, divestment, return calculations, and valuation basics.
  • Digital Marketing for Real Estate: Formulating digital marketing strategies and leveraging social media for real estate.

Note: The first two modules align with Singapore’s Council for Estate Agencies (CEA) Real Estate Salesperson (RES) examination syllabus. Existing RES or those who have passed their RES examinations are exempted from these two modules.

Admission Criteria

  • Language Proficiency: C6 in GCE 'O' Level English or equivalent qualifications, or a pass in the college’s English placement test.
  • Mature Candidates: Applicants aged 30 and above with at least 8 years of relevant work experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Assessment & Attendance

  • Attendance Requirements: 90% for student pass holders, 75% for non-pass holders.
  • Assessment Criteria: Minimum passing mark of 40% per module.
